Challenge
Medical City of King Saud University (MCKSU) is a world-class health care complex, located in Riyadh, that includes more than 400 full-time physicians, residents and health personnel who collectively provide care to more than 1.2 million outpatients and perform 14,000+ procedures every year.
Solutions
After a detailed energy audit, the National Energy Services Company (Tarshid) and ENGIE Solutions singed 10 years guaranteed savings contract comprises the full retrofit of MCKSU facilities as well as the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the installed solutions and the measurement and verification (M&V) of the savings.
The retrofit proposal comprises the energy efficiency enhancement chiller plants (chillers and CWP), FAHU/AHUs as well as replacement of package units and more than 50 000 light points. The retrofit had to be conducted during covid19 period while the health facilities were in full operation.
