Summary
ENGIE are Aldar’s selected provider to manage assets including four large (primary potable, irrigation and storm water) pumping stations, 22kv sub-stations, 28 x 22kv transformers and HV Ring main units along with the associated network distribution of all utilities (water, electricity and irrigation) throughout the Yas Island development. These assets and the distribution system serve Ferrari World, Yas Marina Circuit, six Hotels, Yas Golf Club, IKEA, Ace and the Yas Water Park, any infrastructure failure would have a catastrophic impact upon the end users business.
A key achievement on this contract was the full condition survey conducted on the pumping stations as they are absolutely critical and in light of our findings, we felt compelled to benchmark all moving plant to see how it is performing and make necessary improvements, of which Aldar have highly commended.
Scope of Work
ENGIE Solutions was awarded a contract to undertake and maintain of all infrastructure assets at YAS Island. ENGIE Solutions were responsible to manage and maintain the entire public realm utilities under Aldar control with the dual objective of bringing certain items up to the standards demanded by the relevant authorities prior to their take over.
Operation and maintenance of infrastructure assets included:
- MV and LV Power network
- Potable water reservoir, pumping station and network
- Irrigation water reservoir, pumping station and network
- Storm water pumping stations and network
