Summary
ENGIE Solutions was awarded a contract to provide High Voltage equipment maintenance service for Zayed University located in Abu Dhabi.
There are 15 sub-stations spread across the campus where ENGIE Solutions undertakes monthly inspections, checks and tests to identify any potential phase balancing or load problems. Routine maintenance and testing of vacuum (spark free) switchgear is carried out to the outgoing lower 415 voltage cables that then feed the university’s various main sub-distribution switchboards.
Health and safety are of paramount importance, and necessary work permits and procedures are required to be put in place before any work is undertaken. During the term of the contract ENGIE Solutions is proud to report that there has not been one single incident or power outage.
Scope of Work
The scope of services includes the provision of HV maintenance services, as well as providing Planned Preventive Maintenance. Scope also includes district cooling plant operation and maintenance, which delivers 24/7 monitoring, data recording and corrective maintenance. Real time reporting is done through the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, through FSI-based Concept Evolution with the support of a 24/7 help desk.
